Cole's Bio PhotoWhether this is your first experience with counselling or whether you are seeking a “mental health tune up,” I appreciate the courage and vulnerability change entails. I see my role as a counsellor as a collaborator with you in navigating the challenging situations we sometimes find ourselves in as individuals, partners, parents, workers and global citizens. Regardless if these situations are long standing or newly experienced, I will work with you to find creative and realistic solutions.

I believe that all individuals and families bring a wealth of lived experience that contributes to overall resiliency. Despite this, sometimes we simply feel stuck. I can be especially helpful in areas of disordered eating/eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-injury, and challenges faced by those who identify as lesbian, gay, bi/pan sexual, transgendered, two-spirited, intersexed, questioning and/or queer (LGBTTIQQ). I have many years of experience working with adolescents and delight in youth and young adults’ capacity for insight.

When not counselling, I dedicate my time as an instructor in the School of Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria. The hundreds of students I have taught remind me of what a privilege it is to help others.

I am available Monday afternoons and Saturday appointments are also available. I look forward to meeting you.
